Dear Marie-Line Leconte,

It was quite a coincidence for me to have listened this song quite recently (through one of the birthday presents for me) after so many years with a fading memory. Your e-mail of this is very interesting to me. I was in Paris in January 1968, and July 2000. What a difference!

The song and lyrics are so simple yet so moving, having brought me so many memories.

Please follow up your research, and please, please share what you find with me (and possibly with many others who I believe are intensively interested in it).

If that is possible, I will greatly appreciate it.
Thank you very much.
- Shozo

That's a possibility. She is quite famous in Japan, so perhaps you could research that aspect?

I think you talk about Francine Leconte, my husband'aunt. I try to know more about her.

I'm glad it helped you. There's plenty of stuff in Japanese (all repeating the same fragment of information), but I couldn't even find a reference to it in English. Or French, for that matter.

I got to know this song some weeks ago and I really like it. I don´t speak Japanese, so I didn´t know what the lyrics say, so I´m very happy I found this website, where I got to know the story behind!
